Access control installation in Perth
Control who gets in, when, and keep a record of it. Access control for offices, warehouses, strata buildings and any site where handing out keys has stopped being practical.
What we do
- Electric strikes and magnetic locks
- Key fob and card reader systems
- Keypad and PIN entry
- Intercom entry for strata and multi tenancy buildings
- Door controllers and REX (request to exit) hardware
- Access scheduling by user and time of day
- Integration with existing alarm and CCTV systems
- Fire egress compliant door hardware
How it works
The case for access control is usually simple. Someone leaves, their key does not come back, and rekeying the building costs more than the system would have. With fobs you deactivate one credential in thirty seconds.
We size systems to the site. A single door with a reader and a standalone controller is a different job to a twenty door networked system with scheduled access, and there is no sense installing the second where the first will do.
For multi tenancy and strata buildings we handle intercom entry, including video entry panels and handset or app based answering. For warehouses and industrial sites we deal with the practical problems: heavy traffic doors, roller shutter interlocks, and readers that need to survive being outdoors.
Door hardware is specified so that egress is never blocked. Free exit in the direction of escape is not negotiable, and we will tell you if a proposed arrangement does not meet it.
Compliance and safety
Door hardware is specified to maintain compliant egress under the National Construction Code, including fail safe release on fire alarm where required. Mains connections and power supplies are installed under our electrical contractor licence.
Carried out under electrical contractor licence EC17499 and security agent licence SA86126.
Questions about access control
Is access control worth it for a small business?
Often yes, and the maths is simple. The first time an employee leaves without returning a key, rekeying the building usually costs more than a basic system would have. With fobs you deactivate one credential in seconds.
Can access be restricted by time of day?
Yes. Networked systems let you set which credentials work at which doors and during which hours, and keep a record of entries. Standalone single door systems are simpler but do not offer scheduling.
Will locked doors stop people getting out in a fire?
No, and they must not. Door hardware is specified so free egress in the direction of escape is always maintained, with fail safe release on fire alarm where required. If a proposed arrangement would not meet that, we will say so.
Can it work with my existing alarm and cameras?
In most cases yes. Integration depends on the hardware involved, and we check compatibility before quoting.
