Electrical installations and repairs in Perth

From a single power point to a full rewire, this is the core of what we do. Residential, commercial and industrial work across the Perth metro area, tested and certified before we leave.

What we do

  • Switchboard upgrades and fuse to circuit breaker conversions
  • Safety switch (RCD) installation and testing
  • Full and partial rewiring
  • New power points, USB outlets and dedicated circuits
  • Interior and exterior lighting, including LED upgrades
  • Ceiling fans and exhaust fans
  • Fault finding on circuits that trip, flicker or drop out
  • Three phase power and machine connections
  • Smoke alarm supply, installation and compliance checks

How it works

Most electrical calls fall into one of two categories: something has stopped working, or something needs adding. We handle both.

For faults, we start by isolating the circuit and working back to the cause rather than guessing at symptoms. A breaker that trips repeatedly is telling you something, and swapping it without finding out what is a short term fix at best. You get told what we found and what it will cost to put right before we proceed.

For installations, we size the circuit to the load, check the switchboard can carry it, and allow for what you are likely to add later. On older Perth homes that often means the switchboard needs attention first. Ceramic fuses, no RCD protection and a board with no spare ways are all common, and all worth fixing before more load goes on.

Every job is tested on completion and you receive an electrical safety certificate for the work.

Compliance and safety

All work is carried out by licensed electrical workers under our WA electrical contractor licence and complies with AS/NZS 3000 (the Wiring Rules). Safety switches are tested on completion and an electrical safety certificate is issued for every job.

Questions about installations & repairs

Why does my circuit breaker keep tripping?

A breaker that trips repeatedly is doing its job, and the cause is worth finding rather than simply resetting. Common causes are an overloaded circuit, a faulty appliance, moisture in an outdoor fitting, or damaged cable. We isolate the circuit and work back to the cause rather than guessing.

How do I know if I need a switchboard upgrade?

Signs include ceramic fuses rather than circuit breakers, no safety switches, a board with no spare ways, or breakers that trip as soon as you add load. If you are planning an EV charger, air conditioning or a renovation, it is worth checking capacity before you commit to anything else.

Are safety switches a legal requirement?

RCD protection is required on power and lighting circuits in Western Australian homes, and is required before a property is sold or rented. Safety switches protect people from electric shock, which ordinary circuit breakers do not.

Can you work on three phase and industrial equipment?

Yes. Three phase power, machine connections, motor circuits and industrial fault finding are a regular part of our work.
