Alarm and CCTV installation in Perth

Cameras that record something useful, and alarms that people actually arm. We design and install security systems for homes and commercial sites, sized to the property rather than to a box on a shelf.

What we do

  • Alarm system supply, installation and takeover
  • IP CCTV systems with remote viewing
  • Camera positioning and coverage planning
  • Network video recorders and storage sizing
  • Intercom and video doorbell installation
  • Sensor placement for pets and high traffic areas
  • Upgrades from analogue to IP systems
  • Fault finding on existing systems

How it works

Most security systems fail for one of two reasons. Either the cameras are pointed at the wrong things, or the alarm is so prone to false triggers that nobody arms it any more.

We start with coverage. Entry points, approach paths, and the spots where a camera will actually capture a face rather than the top of a head. Lens choice and mounting height matter more than megapixels, and a well placed 4MP camera beats a badly placed 8MP one every time.

For homes, that usually means covering the front and rear approaches, the driveway, and any side access. For commercial sites it extends to stock areas, registers, loading docks and after hours entry points.

Alarms are set up with sensor types chosen for the space, including pet immune detectors where there is a dog in the house. We walk you through arming and disarming before we leave, and set up remote access on your phone.

We can also take over an existing system rather than replacing it, where the hardware is sound.

Compliance and safety

Camera placement is planned with privacy obligations in mind, including avoiding coverage of neighbouring property where practicable. Low voltage cabling is installed to AS/CA S009 and all mains connections are carried out under our electrical contractor licence.

Carried out under electrical contractor licence EC17499 and security agent licence SA86126.

Questions about alarms & cctv

How many cameras do I need?

Fewer, well placed, beats more badly placed. For a typical home that usually means covering front and rear approaches, the driveway, and any side access. We plan coverage based on entry points and approach paths rather than selling a fixed package.

Can I view the cameras on my phone?

Yes. We set up remote viewing on your phone as part of the installation and walk you through it before we leave.

Can you take over my existing alarm system?

Usually yes, where the hardware is sound. Taking over an existing system is often cheaper than replacing it, and we will tell you honestly if the existing kit is not worth keeping.

Will my dog set off the alarm?

Not if the sensors are chosen for it. Pet immune detectors are designed to ignore animals below a weight threshold while still detecting a person. Sensor placement matters too, and we set this up during installation.
